Part- time Bookkeeper/Accounting
or Full-time Bookkeeper/Accounting & Office Manager

We are looking for a part-time Accounting/Bookkeeper or a full-time, Accounting/Office Manager to join our team of 4 lawyers and 6 staff.  We are a fast paced, client focused, rural Law Office in Carman, Manitoba. 

Required bookkeeping tasks include but not limited to: 

  • accounts receivable
  • accounts payable
  • bank reconciliations (Trust and General in PC Law)
  • deposits
  • client cost reconciliations
  • GST/PST remittances
  • financial reports
  • year end procedures
  • other related duties

Office management tasks could include but not limited to: 

  • reporting to The Law Society of Manitoba
  • ordering office supplies
  • supporting and assisting staff with IT and accounting issues
  • advertising & marketing
  • overseeing office maintenance
  • answering phones
  • greeting clients
  • making appointment
  • other related duties

The following would be considered assets:

  • Office management experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • Sage Accounting
  • PC Law
  • Customer Service experience
  • IT skills

It is essential for this individual to be able to work effectively as a member of our team with minimal supervision, take initiative, demonstrate sound judgement, problem solving skills, time-management skills and maturity in dealing with clients.
